Just imagine all of your favorite models and theories in Cog Sci, integrated in such a way that they become an actual system specification instead of a dog's dinner.
I just don't think that this would contain nearly enough information to guide us to the creation of AGI... We don't yet know enough about the human brain/mind to take this path to AGI, IMO.
