But the issue (or a major issue) is whether or not the AI program can
be designed learn on its own through the medium of language (or other
IO with the data environment world).  In order to do this, you have to
recognize that rules or rule-like systems need to be applied so that
the program could learn to recognize that additional information that
is derived from the IO environment can be applied to another situation
to develop a more sophisticated understanding of some other rule.
