Ah, there might be a misunderstanding here. The Story ticket type should already _have_ the "Importance" field (To see it go to Admin>Types and click on Story for more details. So the Story ticket-type has it, but the task ticket-type doesn't. If that field is not there, you may have removed it accidentally in an earlier configuration attempt. If that is the case and you didn't delete it you should be able to just check it again in the configuration panel I pointed you to earlier.
