Components are not currently filtered by team. But in the Whiteboard, the selection of team members is filtered so you only see the team working in this sprint. You can circumvent the issue of long team member lists if your team members have the TEAM_MEMBER role only (and not TRAC_ADMIN or SCRUM_MASTER).. then, when they pick a task from the backlog and drag it to the Progress column (this is in the Whiteboard), it does not even ask which user to assign it to, but just assigns to the logged in user. So try to avoid pre-assigning before a task is actually being worked on.
