Hi, I am a little surprised that the "remaining time" (and tasks) is of great importance during the sprint and that the burndown chart is also measured in time. In our team we just work with story points (which are indeed just another unit of time) and the burndown graph only decreases upon complete accepted stories. Task (-slips [Post-it's]) are not estimated and are just a helper for discussion during Daily Scrum and for visualization of who works on what.
So, the subject could also be: "Task vs. Story oriented." Is it possible to configure agilo in a more Story oriented manner? I wouldn't need tasks at all. At least not for any kind of metrics.
