Actually I just checked and having just tickets with a remaining_time field in a backlog by themselves doesn't work - because they only show up if you also have stories in that backlog. :-( So you can show them in a backlog if there are also stories in that backlog (but they will show up in the "tasks without stories" container - or they don't show up by themselves. I'm tracking this as part of bug #1090. Hope this helps!
