If you want a backlog that just contains "Maintenance" items (and no stories), you will have to remove the "Remaining Time" attribute from Maintenance and create a link from Maintenance to Task (or something else that has Remaining Time). Then you can see the Maintenance items in the backlog. Adding Remaining Time to the Maintenance items themselves will only work if your backlog also displays User Stories because the backlog will display the Maintenance items under the "Tasks without Stories" automagical story (which is not displayed if the backlog does not show stories).
