I like all these ideas in general I'll just comment here: I think the idea of a "list" ranking (and moving up and down it based on gameplay) is something we've never done before (Anyone ever play Kremlin?) and had potential. I'd like to see the succession list come into play more... maybe make the government held by the top N people on the list, and make it so becoming champion moves you noticeably up the list but isn't the only way to go up/down. -G.
