OFFICIAL PARTY PROCLAMATION

The Party has benevolently governed Agora for a long time, protecting the
interests of the players and the game. Recently, it has come to the attention
of Party leadership that some persons may be attempting to seditiously defy
party authority. This cannot be tolerated, because in doing so they injure
not merely our glorious Party, but the game itself. It is only through the
Party's actions as executed by judges, officers, and proposal authors, that the
game even continues to exist.

It is the opinion of Party leadership that it is necessary to bring these
malevolent conspirators under control. However, the Party is unable
to bring the schemers to justice itself. It is therefore the conclusion of the
Party that it must ask all Agorans to help purge the traitors. Party leadership
suggests some sort of system in which party members vote traitors off the
membership rolls. This process should be supervised by a new Office of the
Chief Inquisitor. It will probably also be necessary to reward whoever
points out the traitors on our midst. If, the Party founder (recently raised
to godhood after the unfortunate demise of eir mortal form) forbid, there are
only a few actually loyal to the party, then those few must be granted a win.

Party leadership wishes to invite ordinary party members to contribute their
views on how this purge of the vile treacherous conspirators should be carried
out. Should the Party governance structure be clarified? How should the
elimination votes be structured? Should there be other tests of loyalty to our
great Party? The Party leadership also urges Party members to consider that if
someone tries to weaken the measures, claim the absence of a conspiracy, or
even make the ridiculous asserition that the wise and supreme Party doesn't
exist, e is probably a traitor emself. Let the Inquisition begin!
