First of all I'd like to say that the work with documenting the code is
going well and I believe we could soon have a new build of the engine
out, too. I'm planning to make it much easier for people to download
and build ZQuake and AQ, so that more of you can make your own versions
of the game in future. I want everything to be made possible for you
lot, from the code to a release-worthy package. We're well on the way
to this, and when we get there I can concentrate on the new things we
have planned like map editing and you lot can maintain teh game as-is
and make new mods for it.
I will write in more detail about that, and how you want this
``community handover'' to work in a separate thread, though. this is
just a news update.
The main issue I want to ask is: Would anyone mind if we discontinued
our support email addresses? They're getting a lot of spam and we can't
always answer them; I think it would be better to refer people to the
mailing list instead.
Any thoughts?
