Hi there, Many thanks for that info. Yes, I had a simular problem. I couldn't start the game, got problems with the perl package as well. I have v5.8 installed so may I then just remove that and install the same version from source? I have X up and running since I am also using Orca. I am trying to use Linux more and more and I want to play AQ under that as well. Many thanks for all the info! Christian
