Well, I thought that everything was fixed but it's not.  The thing was that 
I had two audio quake directories under program files, one with a space 
between audio and quake and the other one without.  I deleted the one with 
the space and reinstalled, (losing all my good sounds in the process.

Then, I installed the mods, and it seemed to be going okay.  Then, I started 
the game and typed in the name and password.  Then the game said mauth 
loopback or disabled, and something about nonstandard player eyes model. 
Then it played the game but without the mod.  I've tried the Jedi mod as 
well as Overkill and gotten the same results both times.  Would have put 
this on Launchpad but it takes time to register and since you're working on 
the newest version now I posted it here.
