Hey, You will find the installation under.zquake in your home folder. Open a terminal, cd ~/.zquake, and run the start script (./start.pl). If you want to get it talking quickly I recommend you install flite and eflite "sudo apt-get install flite eflite" at the terminal.
I'd be interested to hear about your milage from here on out. I'm having trouble getting it to play nice with the soundcard. These steps should get it running.
