At the risk of duplicity, here goes... >From the desktop just hit alt-f2 which brings up the run list, where you then type: gnome-terminal and then hit enter. That is you may expect, gets you to a gnome terminal, kind of like a text console. >From therenoticing you're in your home directory, and you then want to cd into a dirctory called: .zquake Notice the dot before the dirctory name? when you cd to it don t miss that out, or you'll never get there. Now assuming all went well so far, you should be where you can run the perl scrip that starts it all up. so typ the following: ./start.pl if you get an error complaining that it can t find tiny.pm or some shuch, you may have to get the libconfig-tiny-perl package with your favouraite retrieval program, mine is apt-get and try running it again when you've got it. You don't have to be logged as root to run AudioQuake, though you may have to set the file permissions on the start.pl script: chmod 755 start.pl H.t.h., have fun!
