Hi there: While I don't know anything about the distro you're using, I'm using a Debian based one myself, Audio Quake under linux requires the use of the X windows system, there's no non-graphical output option like theree is for windows. You won't want your accessibility software running under X, because they'll conflict and probably lock the system forcing a reboot. If you do get it to work, I'd recommend the sdl option rather then the gl-sdl as I've never gotten that one to work. I suspect it does work if you've got all the open gl requirements, but I appearently don't. Hope that does help some.
