Subject: [AGRIP-discuss] AudioQuake under Linux
Hi All,
I'm experiencing some quirks getting AQ to run under 64-bit ArchLinux.
I've got all the 32-bit libraries I need, and running the zquake binary
manually seems to work as it should.
The problem comes with the game launcher. For a start, I realize the
stats and servers page is offline and has been for some time. The
launcher keeps giving me warnings about incorrect usernames and passwords.
I seem to recall something about a nomauth option to disable this stuff,
but don't remember where that would go, precisely.
More problematically, when I hit s to start Quake, the program says
"Welcome to Quake", and returns me to a shell prompt without further
output. Initially there were errors about missing 32-bit libraries, but
now nothing at all is being displayed.
I'd appreciate some input on this, if at all possible. I love the idea of
AQ, and would love to be able to get back into it.
Many thanks,
Zack.
