Hey Bro: Welcome to the list.
The version of AQ that is on Andre's site is actually the basic version by itself, but can connect to his server which plays the Jedi Quake mod. if you play it offline it's just classic Quake 1, the shareware version I think, but with a world war 2 sound pack instead of the default sounds of the original Quake.

They're hosting an earlier release for Windows that includes all the built-in perl and libraries you'd need, as well as a readme for playing the Jedi Quaqe and Overkill mods as on his server. The reason for hosting an earlier release is because the newest release is broken in some rather important ways... I mean it does work, but you have to do a little extra leg work to make it work, especially when it comes to logging onto a server, and even if you can log on, you can't download the files you need so they're using a version that will let you download sounds etc back when it did work properly. The only downside is that some of the default keys for doing certain things have been re-allocated for other ones, but this is very fixable if you want to just set it for standard agrip. The two files you'll want from Andre's site are the portable audioquake.exe and it's associated readme file. Either write here or if you want write me off list and I can send you said files. I do wish I knew which release version they're using, because I'd find the linux version of that one too but that's another story...
