I have since scanned these hosts again, and the same files are constantly claiming to have been added. So although AIDE is not failing, it is not handling these files for some reason. Just thought you might like to know.

I am still trying to decide if I should commit a fix for the problem "Single directories in aide.conf will resurse with --check" since I am not sure it will break something else.
