I have been saying it for ages both in this forum and when I have been fortunate enough to speak in your lovely country. What will happen/is happening is obvious. The nurses will examine the patient and request the X-rays (whether you like it or not and no matter how much you wring you hands and squeal). The patient will then go back to Casualty with the films and the nurse/Dr will interpret the films, the radiographer will just keep on pressing those little buttons and complaining about it. Oh yes, and some time later the Radiologist will report on the pictures and get paid for it. Dead easy really, if nothing changes for radiographers this is EXACTLY what will happen, take my word for it. A saying says "keep doing what you are doing and you'll keep getting what you've got". Not a very attractive role set for a graduate profession. Cheers.
