Infrastructure Capacity Analyst/Developer
This position will be under Worldwide Technology Infrastructure
Application Hosting Infrastructure Capacity management. This role requires
skills in both capacity management reporting and database and application
development.
The IC Analyst/Developer will primarily be responsible for the
collection, maintenance and reporting of storage (SAN, NAS) capacity,
consumption and reclamation activities. This individual will be responsible for
the maintenance of current reporting and development of new as requested.
Additional to the storage component of this position, this individual
will be a highly effective SQL developer. This position will require the
transition of existing MS Access application to SQL and providing all aspects
of development and support.
It is required that this candidate has fundamental understanding online
storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS), enterprise data center experience, and
ability to work in a highly demanding environment.
Required Skills
* 5 years in an enterprise data center environment
* Functional understanding of online storage technologies
* Exposure to enterprise IT data collection/management systems
* Fundamental understanding of data center capacity management including
trending, forecasting, and end of support life planning
* Data collection, analysis and manipulation skills using industry
standard tools (particularly Microsoft products)
* SQL database and front end development skills
* Presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint
* Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure systems (servers, storage
& network)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
