Yes, exactly.  Most people will copy Sam's workspaces initially, so having a
more 'generic' to everybody file might be good?  And it took a while to
locate all the projects and then trawl for cvs pserver and password
combinations on their web site (OK so I was thick - I should have looked
through alexandria!)

Would a possible solution be to look to see if connection failed due to
unauthorised access, attempt a login with the anon password and then co
again?

I also tried to build last night (until now I've just been trying to pull
the files), bootstrap-ant worked but xml-xerces failed with:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/tools/ant/Main Exception in
thread "main"

What didn't I do?

Also, would a 'build' sub-dir in addition to the log and cvs be a good idea?
Rather than cluttering the root ('jakarta')?

PS I _still_ can't get castor!  Has anybody else got this problem.
