To the best of my knowledge (and it may be incomplete, since I'm not
actively working on either alexandria, gump, or cactus), the nightly GUMP
builds are run by Sam Ruby as a personal project on one of his machines; I
think he just posts selected build outputs to a number of build/
directories on jakarta and xml as a courtesy.
I know there were discussions of merging the best of gump and alexandria
but don't know where the status there went.
Personally, the xalan community finds it very valuable that Sam is
volunteering his time and resources for gump - bravo!
