What Stefan said.  ;-)

What is needed is rather modest.  An optional tag in a project descriptor
that specifies either a list of files or directories.  A stylesheet similar
to pubdocs.xsl which generates a script that iterates through these
performing simply actions (e.g., cp, tar, zip) on each.

I'm attaching the current script.  If a consensus on what the project
descriptor should look like is reached and people start adding such
definitions to their project descriptors, I'll gladly convert the script to
match.
