The vaccum / blower is an interesting trick. I have checked for leaks by
starting the car on jack stands. Then I feel the exhaust starting at the
front and move back as everything gets hot.
With cold air blowing, there would be no hurry.

Have you checked for exhaust leaks ? I used to hook my shop vac in
blower-mode to the tailpipe and then feel/hear for any leaks. You need to
run your hand around each junction especially the rear connection with the
thick doughnut gasket resides.
