1) find out where the mouse chewed through the wire from the gas gauge sending unit; and 2) get a garage cat.

But seriously, have you tried the old standby method of smacking the dashboard to wake the gas needle from its resting place. Works on my GTV6 after it has been sitting for a while.

I've been getting my 77 spider ready for showing at tomorrow's Classics on the James here in Richmond, Virginia. Two discoveries: 1) my gas gauge is dead; and 2) a mouse made a home in my trunk.

Any advice on either, i.e., how to sort the first and how to prevent the second?
