Contrary to "Gone in 60 Seconds" both of the cars I have had stolen, none since I moved to the suburbs, were recovered. They were both unlikely, a Pinto Station Wagon and an Econoline van. The Pinto came back with the interior slashed (notice of recovery took so long it was obvious the police had a deal with the tow lot). the Econoline came back with a lot of narrow tire tracks in the back. It would seem the Pinto was taken for a "joy ride".
