The ignition system on the '72 Spider we bought a year ago has failed. When
I first checked the car before buying, I wondered why anyone would replace
the easily-maintained and reliable non-electronic Bosch system with an
electronic one. My opinion is that with electronics it's not a question of
IF it will fail but rather WHEN it will fail.

Ok, so can anyone help with information about which part of the Marelli
system is the most prone to failure and any way of fixing it? Understand
that I know zilch about electronics so will have to get someone to fire up
the cauldron and create the potion that might help... :-).
