I have owned two Milanos, both 2.5 5 speed and never experienced a
problem bottoming out. I owned an Alfetta Sedan before and had no problems
there either, even after I cut a coil from the rear springs.

Is your Milano an Automatic? I understand the automatic Milano has
softer rear springs. If the hydraulic load leveling system goes south, there
can be problems. The solution is to remove the load leveling device and put
in rear springs from a stick shift Milano.

Couldn't think of non-suggestive title ;-).

Anyway my '89 Gold readily 'bottoms' if I go over any sort of speed bump or
curb [even at slow speed] - put someone in the back seat & its much worse.
I replaced the shocks 2 or 3 years ago with Alfa stock. Any suggestion to
solve?

thanks & happy holidays
