Call in advance to make a reservation. This is best done in Italian. Do not make it at lunchtime when the guard is cranky. Bring a driver's license or you won't get in (one for the whole party is ok). Don't believe GPS. Coming from Milano, it is the first Arese exit, and is less than 1/2 mile; if you follow a GPS and take the next exit, it will take you all through the town. If this happens, wander around until you get to the area with all the streets named after famous drivers (Nuvolari, etc.). Get to the road called Alfa Romeo - this leads right into the plant. Walk from the main parking lot (not the covered one) to the guard shack and they will let you in and show you the way (it is up the hill and to the left). bon voyaggio! Contact Jim and he can get you a copy of the whole parts manual. When I was there six years ago I had the benefit of a Milanese native doing the driving and the talking, and IIRC finding the place and getting admitted to the museum wasn't exactly straightforward. The official web site doesn't even have the address anymore, only the exit to take from the freeway (but, ironically, I now own a portable GPS).
