Dear Alfisti, This is not directly on the point but perhaps it may be of some assistance. I had a problem with the felt strips on the top of each side of my main windows on the doors. I bought a roll of felt strip from Centerline. I then removed the strip frames after taking off the door trim and carefully removed the worn old strips from the rather fragile frames. I thoroughly cleaned the frames of all adhesive I used thinners with nitrile gloves. I then cut the new strips to length and used a Sikaflex adhesive, I can't remember which type it was however. I then used the Sikaflex glue on both the strips and the frames and inserted the strips. I secured the strips with a small center punch as Alfa had done. I did not re-fit the strips for several days until the glue had cured. A few weeks later I put, very sparingly, some silicone lubricant on the felt to reduce the friction of the glass on the srips. The strips have remained glued and while a very close fit, the strips do not unduely increase the friction between the windows and the strips. That is the windows move up and down easily. The water which enters the door cavity when you wash the car is substantially reduced. I would also suggest you treat any rust at the bottom of the doors when you have the door trim removed.
