<[email protected]> Subject: [alfa] Gooey stuff behind the door
panel
Cats:
There is plastic sheet behind the door panel in my Alfetta. After
doing some work with the window winder and stuff, I'm about to
button it up. This plastic sheet was stuck to the door with some
grey/black gooey stuff. I have some new plastic sheets to put there
and they will probably stick as is, but I wanted to know what this
stuff is, or a suitable replacement. It would be nice to clean it
all off and put some fresh stuff on if it can be found locally.
Also, do late Alfetta and GTV6 front sway bar end links take the
same diameter bushings?
Thanks, Stefano Concord, CA
What you're asking for is ( I believe ) this stuff:

It's handy to have around, yes indeedy.
But what you're trying to do is ( if I read correctly ) to hang the
plastic sheet that prevents ( mostly ) the water from rain, etc.,
from soaking the inside of the fiberboard door panel. If this is the
case, just use duct tape or gaffers tape to hold the sheet at the top
and let it fall into place via gravity at the bottom.
