Stefano - Can't help you on routing, since my throttle cable is attached to a Spider. However, I do know that every one of these that I have dealt with is made in such a way that you cannot separate the cable from the handle. I guess that leaves you with putting it back together the way it came apart. As for the mechanism you found near the booster, it should be attached to the booster. It hold the outer sheaf of the cable so that the inner cable can do the work. Good luck!

I have a couple of questions about the hand throttle cable for anyone that has had these apart before. When I took it off, I disconnected it from the engine bay and pulled the dash out, leaving it connected to the dash handle. Now I'm wondering how this cable winds its way through the space to get to the grommet hole. Does it go over or under the steering column? How would one recommend getting it back on too? Should I feed it through the opposite of removal? Or should I disconnect it from the handle and feed it through from the engine bay and reconnect it to the handle on the dash? Also, this little mechanism in the engine bay. It was attached to the end of the cable in the engine bay, but wasn't attached to anything. It appears to secure the end of the cable to the brake booster, but I don't know exactly how. If anyone has some details, I'd appreciate it very much.
