The 1975 and early 1976 Alfetta driveshaft donuts are different than the
later ones. I believe the early donuts / Giubos are no longer available. On
the 1975 Sedan I bought new, I went through about 8 sets of donuts in 100,000
miles, but I autocrossed it and ran it quite hard.
      You want a complete
drive shaft including flywheel and clutch housing from a late 1976 through
1979 Alfetta.

Ciao,
Russ Neely

Subject: [alfa] Alfetta, Alfetta GT clutch housing

In my
Alfetta GT there is a bearing going out inside the clutch housing,
making a
terrible rattle when the car is idling, and my mechanic tells
me that my car
(built in 1976) has an early version of the housing with
a large bearing
outside and a smaller one inside, apparently making the
noise. We would like
to replace the housing with the later version that
has large bearings at both
locations. Does anyone out there in Alfaland
have such a part? We could, of
course, simply use the existing housing
and replace the bearings in kind, but
the upgrade would be nice if possible.
