This is very surprising to me; I've heard of cars failing their MoT in
the UK, but I've never heard of a car's flunking its annual test in this
country for anything other than emissions. I'm sure that my own '87 Gold
would be sent to the scrap heap wherever it is that Dave lives, but all
California cares about is its exhalations. And I thought that WE had it
tough!
So Dave: how much would you want, then, to send your car out to where
nobody gives a flying flock about the state of its bodywork? Are its
emissions okay? Will it pass its CO2 and other tests? The other problems
you cite are well within the known parameters of Milano Grief,
especially the clutch thing (balljoint inside rear housing, replace
clutch as well because the springs have gotten old and stiff, directly
opposite to what most of the owners have experienced...). More to the
point from this rather selfish Milano owner: how's the interior?
