It is my understanding that the factory wasn't directly involved. I'm sure I 
read somewhere that a private individual had it built based on the new 8C.

Various authors can misinterpret things in any number of ways.  When in doubt, 
I 
tend to trust Fusi.  I believe the TZ and TZ2 are both 'Tubolare' according to 
him.

As for the TZ3, has the factory called it anything other than a TZ3?  Perhaps 
that's all it is..
