ok george,i  just have my copy of alfa romeo-zagato sz tz in front of me by
marcello minerbi and marcello claims on page 92 that"the tz1, whose full name
reads giulia tz,where "t" stands for tubular and "z" for zagato,........by the
way it was a busso design but everyone thinks zagato designed it.tz1,tz2,tz3.i
wont it.

Ah! Here's the rub. I have about a dozen books on the history of Alfa Romeo.
It's about split 50/50 that TZ either means "Tubolare Zagato" or "Turismo
(Touring)  Zagato". The TZ3, having no tubes, sorta slants that answer toward
Turismo, methinks.
