Make that 17" or higher, as of sometime within the last three years!
(I seriously may have to spend several thousand dollars this month on
new wheels for a non-Alfa, as the 245/45 16" tires I need are
essentially not available at all anymore!)

Try Toyo's Proxes R888s!. They are the best handling, grippiest DOT
approved tire on the market these days and they are available in 15"
size (so many of the very best tires start at 16" of higher).
