Dear All, I so often write asking help with car dilemmas that this time I'm happy to share some good news. (I'll be back with bad 164S news shortly ...) My '67 Giulia Super was pronounced too expensive to repair due to rust in the frame that was 'melting' her, and was offered for sale, destined to become a donor car. Not a happy prospect ... But in the last minute, to the sound of the Lone Ranger appearing on the horizon, a wonderful, experienced Alfa wizard has come forward, happy to face the challenge. The car is now destined to be back on the road again sometime up ahead. And for me, the other great news is that when the new owner is someday tired of the pleasure of driving his restored car, I will get the opportunity to once again have it in my garage, my third time purchasing it. Everyone wins in this deal ....
So thank you to everyone who chipped in advice, and to everyone who considered buying the car, and most of all to the marvelous gentleman who is even now beginning the process of saving my, oops, his Super. Warm regards, Joan -- to be removed from alfa, see http://www.digest.net/bin/digest-subs.cgi or email "unsubscribe alfa" to [email protected]
