Eric, Richard, thanks for your replies regarding the fuel injector
hoses. I used a Ronson butane soldering gizmo with a small tip. Don't
believe I damaged the tapered barbs. I was expecting to see small raised
bumps. The first one took about ten to fifteen minutes, until near the
end of removing them had it down to two minutes. I made a grove at the
end of the metal hose all the way to the end, then lifted each side with
the point then lifted the hose off. Guess I'll find out if I damaged
anything.
Regarding the spring, It was for the throttle assembly and turns out to
be turned one full revolution before hooking it over the throttle lever.
But thanks, Richard, for the drill to reset the AFM's spring. I'll admit
that when I had my GTV6 many years I was told to loosen the spring
tension two turns and would add some oomph. Unfortunately it slipped and
I was in a panic. Fellow who was familiar with the L-jetronic said to
eyeball the best I could, drive it then do a plug check. If too white or
too sooty, then move in the appropriate direction (and don't let go). I
ended up having a shop reset it. I'm not touching the insides of this AFM.
However...I have removed both screws holding the throttle position
sensor unit on, but have photos of where it was before removing them -
so should be able to eyeball it pretty close.. .but is there a specific
voltage for resetting it?
Again thanks,
Biba
