I'll say it before anyone (spirit of Fred) feels the need, if I get any
more of these waay modern vehicles in my shop, I'll get a parts & shop
manual for them
Fuel rail: I've not paid attention to the past discussions regarding
replacing the fuel hoses. I recall something about barbs and that there
is a very specific size of hose to use, but... Can someone enlighten me
what is involved? I'm only doing a major detailing job on the car, not a
complete restoration. This Quad has 13K miles on it, but a pack of rats
who lived on top of cylinders three and four apparently used the fuel
rail as the pee trough. I can't believe the acid in the pee did anything
good for the hose + there is a lot of rust on the rail's various components.
The 'section' with the butterfly: Does the coil spring, when removed,
just unwind a little bit, or are there a specific number of turns from
rest before/while installing? If the latter (of course) how many turns?
Thanking you all in advance,
