Jon, a rapid click from the flasher sounds like either a thermal flasher gone bad or a load issue on an electronic flasher. Load sensitive flashers are made that way so that you have an indication of a burned out bulb in the form of a rapid blink. When none of the lights blink, this might be the result of a corroded connector or the flasher unit being disconnected from the lights somehow. Generic flashers from Tridon can generally be adapted to older Alfas. Check out their web site to see if you can find one suitable for your spider's wiring and flasher setup.
They are widely available at most auto supply stores. George Beston Spider Jr Alfetta -- to be removed from alfa, see http://www.digest.net/bin/digest-subs.cgi or email "unsubscribe alfa" to [email protected]
