As others have said, a rapid flasher is usually the sign of a bulb being
out.  The reduced load causes the flasher to flash more frequently.

If the problem does end up being the flasher, any standard flasher will
work.  What's in there is probably a very expensive ($100+) Bosch flasher,
but you can retrofit in a standard one.  IIRC, you just have to jump the
ground wires together, otherwise the rest of the wires plug directly in.

the turn signals on my 74 spider no longer work. Instead of a relatively 
steady click the unit puts out a rapid click and the lights no longer 
flash. What would cause this?

I can't find a source for a flasher. Does anyone know of a source?
