I had a 74 GTV totaled about 5 years ago. The other driver was at fault. His
insurance company offered me $6k. I told them that I wanted $12k. I produced
copies of adverts and a long list of receipts for work on the car. After 8
weeks they offered me $8k. I went to a lawyer. I got testimonials from three
informed folks who knew my car and I then bought a very nice replacement for
$14k. My lawyer told them that we would accept $12k and that our offer was
only good for 10 days. They paid up. I bought back the wreck for $500, parted
it out, and I made enough to pay the lawyer, the $2k difference and the cost
of transporting the new car.

Regarding Milano Verdes: I have two that I will likely sell in 2011. I have a
daily driver which works properly - good AC, cruise control, ARC, etc and has
a few upgrades - E-code lights, Konis.. but has poor paint and no headliner. I
hope to get $3k for it. I have a lower mileage one that is also straight and
rust free and is a good driver but has a salvage title. I hope to get about
$2k for it. I think that those are realistic values.

Hope this helps.
