My parents just called to say the brake lights on their '95 164LS have stopped working. (The bulbs that are also used as turn signals still function in that capacity.) Are there wiring diagrams available for download anywhere? I talked my dad through measuring resistance across the switch, and apparently it's normally closed, and then breaks the circuit when the brake pedal is released. (Is that normal among modern cars?) So it seems like the switch works, but there's no voltage being applied to it. (The fuse is fine.) Is this a common problem?
