A couple of things occur to me, neither of which may work: As a repair, you might try wrapping the cracked part with the self-adhesive butyl rubber sheet which is used in roof repairs. As a replacement, you might try a two inch neoprene flexible coupling from the plumbing supply store. It has enough give to stretch to 2 1/4 inches and will compress with a ring clamp to 1 15/16. And it is not affected by gasoline. (I forget whether butyl rubber is eaten by gasoline.)
