Peruse Greg Gordon's GTV6 diagnosis page: http://www.hiperformancestore.com/Ljetronic.htm

The most common issues with our cars are intake air/vacuum leaks and poor electrical grounds. Do not assume the grounds are OK because they look good and feel tight - remove, clean & secure each one.

The GTV6 has a small switch inside the Air Flow Meter to activate the fuel pump. You can remove the main air duct, reach inside and manually open the AFM's flap and (with the ignition switch 'on') you should hear fuel flowing through the fuel rail as the pump runs. Some fuel does not mean adequate fuel/pressure of course so checking fuel pressure at the fuel rail will help direct further investigation.

I have an '83 GTV-6 that will not run. It will start using starting fluid
and tries to start when cold and runs for a few seconds. I assume this is
from the cold start injector. Since it does run when given fuel, it seems
that something is going on with the fuel system. The pump works although I have not tested the pressure yet. (going to get pressure gauge today). Any
advice or BTDT would be appreciated.
