So my '88 Quad took a 20MPH hit on the left-front corner, which has left me with some banged-up body parts and (sadly) a crumpled frame member ahead (mostly) and behind (less) of the LF wheel. The rest of the vehicle is in pretty decent shape, having less than 90K on it.
I'm guessing, due to the frame damage, the insurance company will likely "total" it. My dilemma is this - do I take the $$ and send another of a dwindling number of Spiders off to, probably, the crusher? Or, do I take a lesser percentage and hope to part it out or find a buyer for a rebuild? The former is irrevocable but pays well. The latter keeps one or several more Spiders on the road, but is kind of a pain. Your thoughts or comments?
