Thanks for the suggestion. Unless I am missing something, though, I don't
see how Rivnuts can bridge the rectangular gap where the captive nuts go on
a GTV6. Short of welding new metal in place, is there a product that would
work. Failing that, does anyone have some original captive nuts from a GTV6
door? Of course, These would need to have the metal tabs intact.

Ben and all,

    There is a product called "Rivnut" that installs like a pop rivet and
gives you a secure threaded fitting.  Just Google it and you will find more
info than you ever want.  Probably most hardware stores will have them and I
know Harbor Freight does.
