Canvas or vinyl?
Either type - keep clean. Car wash soap & water for vinyl, plain water &
brush if needed for canvas.
Don't leave the top down for extended periods (days/weeks/months) or it will
shrink and you may never be able to erect it again. Don't raise/lower a
vinyl top in cold temps (below ~ 40F/5C).
Take special care of the plastic window as otherwise it can fail before the
fabric & cannot be replaced independent of the top (not easily/correctly
anyway). Do not use paper towels to clean the plastic window - too abrasive.
When folding the top placing a clean terry cloth towel on the window helps
prevent abrasion & creases in the plastic.

Subject: [alfa] Care of Spider soft-top
As a first-time Spider owner, I would like the advice of Spider experts
out
there about maintaining the soft-top. I had a new one installed about a
year
ago that I got from IAP and would like to keep it looking good. Any hints,
products etc that would help?
