Spider visors become floppy because the shaft upon which they pivot breaks loose inside the base, the part attached to the windshield frame.
The fix is to drill through the plastic and shaft in the base, and install a pin to hold it in position. I use a 1/16b bit with a 1/16b spring pin available from a decent hardware store. Takes but a few minutes, and the fix is permanent. Io sono lento, ma io sono brutto.
